New at Seedbed

Seedbed Feed

In this Seedbed Short (which is a free resource that can be found in our store), Dr. George C. Hunter, a celebrated scholar on the subjects of evangelism and apostolic ministry, tackles the the challenges others often pose of Church Growth studies. He makes a compelling case for both a theology of Church Growth as well as delineating the contributions that Church Growth has contributed to the larger theological conversation in the Church.

Go to Seedbed, the new online resourcing platform of the Seminary, to see all the resources that are available. It contains everything from books, Bible studies, videos and blog posts. Be sure to like Seedbed on the Facebook page so that you can be notified when new materials and deals are offered.

Seven Minute Seminary

How should Christians deal with moral conflict? In this week’s edition, Dr. James R. Thobaben, author and Professor at Asbury Theological Seminary, examines the topic through examples in Scripture and practical examples in churches.

Manna Meal

Nicholasville United Methodist Church serves a weekly free meal to the community called Manna Meal every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We are always in need of volunteers to cook, serve, greet, and clean up. Another special area that we could always use more people is in the area of visiting the guest who are being served. Many of these people have great stories to tell and sometimes they need someone just to listen. This is a great opputunity experience ministry with people up close and personal.

If you are interested please contact Adele Mckinney at momadele@aol.com or you can contact the church office at 859.885.4481 and ask who you need to talk to about volunteering for Manna Meal.
